Nara Baby went paid? OBubba logging is free

If you have been tracking with Nara Baby, here is what has changed, how to keep a copy of your records, and what OBubba offers.

What Nara has changed

Nara’s own FAQ says Nara Baby is now a paid app. New families get a 7-day free trial with full access, then it costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 one time for lifetime access, and Nara notes it sometimes runs promotions. The FAQ also says that without a subscription you can still view and export your data, but you cannot add new entries. Read Nara’s FAQ.

If Nara still suits your family, you do not need to change anything. If you would rather keep logging for free, read on.

First, export your Nara data

Whatever you decide, it is worth keeping your own copy of your baby’s records. Nara’s FAQ says you can export without a subscription.

  1. Open Nara and go to the main Activity screen.
  2. Tap the avatar icon next to your child’s name.
  3. Tap Export Data. Nara saves your records as a CSV file.
  4. If you have more than one child, repeat this for each one, then keep the files somewhere safe, such as your Files app, a cloud drive or an email to yourself.

Start logging in OBubba

  1. Install OBubba. It is free to download on iPhone and Android.
  2. Create your baby’s profile and log feeds, sleep and nappies as you did before.
  3. Invite your partner on the free plan so you both log into the same live record.
  4. OBubba starts with age-based wake windows and bedtimes on day one and moves towards your baby’s own rhythm as you log.

What OBubba is built to do
