What you write stays on your phone. Effective 20 September 2026.
OBuddy is published by OLIFE LABS LIMITED (company number 17191202), registered in England and Wales. OBuddy coaches the adult. It is not for children to use and it has no child-facing account.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. You can erase it at any time with Account → Delete family data, or take a copy with Account → Export copy.
Two things, and that is the whole list.
1. Your child's history from OBubba. If you arrive from OBubba, or connect it later, OBuddy reads the record OBubba already holds for your child so you do not have to set everything up again. That data belongs to your OBubba account and is covered by OBubba's privacy policy. OBuddy reads it; it does not copy it anywhere new.
2. An anonymous sign-in. To read that record, OBuddy signs in anonymously to the same Google Firebase project OBubba uses. This creates a random identifier for your installation. It is not your name, your email or your phone number, and it is not connected to any account. When you connect with an OBubba sharing code, OBuddy adds that identifier to the list of devices connected to the code, which is how OBubba knows the connection exists.
If you pay for OBubba, OBuddy checks whether that subscription is active and unlocks accordingly. It reads one record, holding the status and the date it runs until. Your subscription stays with OBubba: there is nothing to buy in OBuddy and nothing to cancel here.
OBuddy is designed for parents and carers. You may enter a child's first name and date of birth. Because that never leaves your device, we are not in a position to access, share or sell it. Children cannot create accounts, because there are no accounts.
OBuddy can show fixed information about emergency and support services, including helpline numbers. It is a coaching app and not an emergency, safeguarding, medical or mental-health service. It cannot contact anyone on your behalf, and what you type is not seen or monitored by any person.
Because your OBuddy data sits on your own device rather than with us: access and portability are Account → Export copy, erasure is Account → Delete family data or deleting the app, and correction is editing it in the app. For the OBubba data OBuddy reads, use OBubba's own privacy controls or email us.
